Would this be an unreasonable request?

Hey all, just a quick question, would it be an unreasonable request if I asked my solicitor if he could try and get us exchanged and completed by the 1st of June, so in one week from now?
We have our mortgage offer from Nationwide in place.
All searches have been done and paid for (enviromental searches etc)
The house is empty and has been since October 2012.
Deposit funds are all ready to be transferred.
We received some stuff from the solicitor to sign on Saturday which I will probably end up driving an hour each way to go deliver it back to his office on Tuesday. This includes the SDLT form, Mortgage Deed form which we need an independent witness to sign as well and a Conditions of Sale Agreements form which has the sellers details and our details all on it.
We were hoping to be in before this BH but it hasnt happened, and I have two weeks off starting from the 4th June which I cant move now without causing all sorts of chaos with my job and I dont want it wasted when I could be getting on with new house things if possible!
Any reasons why it couldn't all be done in the next week?
Thanks in advance.

We have put an offer in the house beginning of january.
All searches and mortgagge has been done at end of january.
We have exchanged contracts on 19th APRIL.
3 loonnnggg months.
Nothing was holding up. No chain. No extra enquiries. No problems.
So for one week I think it is never gonna happen.
But on the other hand good luck with it and congratulations on your new house.0 -
Given that the solicitor won't be open until Tuesday because of the Bank Holiday, and will need to request the funds from NW - which will need to arrive by Thursday - you may well be pushing it, to be honest.
But if you don't ask you won't know.
Also, none of us know whether there's any other hoops your solicitor needs jump through either for you or the lender before they are happy to proceed to exchange /completion.0 -
No problem, was just gauging whether he will just laugh at me or try and get it done when I ask! Ideally we would like the 4th June as a last date but if its going to be longer then theres not much we can do. I will ask him on Tuesday morning when I drop the paperwork off.Slimming World Member - Started 05/02/150

I would say incredibly unlikely.
There is nothing fixed I could say without knowing more about the case, although will also be down to the sellers solicitors playing the game.

Just as an update, spoke to solicitor today and he said he cant exchange until he has the deposit money and he needs a week between exchange and completion due to mortgage requirements so im transferring the deposit over to the solicitor account tomorrow, exchanging on thursday and completing on friday the 7th June if all goes well! Fingers crossed!!Slimming World Member - Started 05/02/150
