moved to another store - help required

My son is a security guard in a store, something has happened which wasnt anything to do with my son. The issue happened while my son was there. It has something to do with another lad and a female member but again nothing to do with my son.
It seems that his manager has said as my son was there he could have stopped this issue (we are talking a minor love letter incident) but my son has said it was nothing to do with him and why should he stop members of staff swapping love letters.
Ok, so now they have moved him to another store which is further to travel. The other issue is that my son travels 40 miles to the store where he initially worked and travel costs were £250 per month as it is, now the extra 10 miles (20 miles per day extra) has put more financial burden on him.
Can I have some advise please, why should my son be moved when this incident was nothing to do with him. Also he isnt responsible for what other members of staff get up to.
Ive told him at this stage talk to his manager and ask to get it into writing why he was moved.
He works for a major security company and has been with them since last September and never had any issues with the company thus far.

I sympathise but I fear there's little he can do about it, other than appeal to his manager. But if they've decided to move him they probably won't change their mind.
My OH works in the same industry and has been moved around so many times I've lost count. He was at one site that was about 10 mins from where we live, he had a dispute with his supervisor and although the company found that my OH was in the right both him and his supervisor were moved to other sites. The new site was the best part of an hours drive away but the company wouldn't budge.
The security companies don't give a monkey's about their staff generally, they're only concerned with keeping the client happy.
Fortunately my OH is now employed directly by the company he provides security for, which is much more stable.
My advice would be look for another job.0 -

He is looking for another job but his skill set are limited. His career was military until redundancy then this security job in a supermarket. Its 40 miles away from his home and after bills each month he's left with 100 quid. There seems to be bad feelings with his manager and my son has no idea why. But when something has happened and nothing to do with him apart from his manager saying you could have stopped this lad giving a love note to a member of the check out team. We are all adults and responsible for your own actions. Why should a grown man tell another grown man not to do what he wants to do?All the big powers they've silenced me. as you probably know already as he's not worked there 2 years there is very little he can do about it and as suggested he needs to look for other jobs if he want-s to work nearer.
He also no doubt has a mobility cause as well in the contract.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -

I agree, it's probably not fair. But fair doesn't come into it.
Assuming he's SIA licenced it shouldn't be that difficult to find another security job closer to home.0 -
Yeh, he's SIA. Surely though if a company have made it near impossible to get to work there must be something he can do. He works in a supermarket as said but there is a store closer to him but they move him further away. Basically from his home there are 3 stores one around 10 miles away the other 40 and the other 48. If they wanted to move him surely they could have moved him to the one 10 miles away rather than make his life difficult and go for the one 48 miles. All the big powers they've silenced me. Yes they could have moved him to the one 10 miles away but they don't want to for whatever reason. As I said before, they're not bothered whether the guards are happy, only the client matters. This is especially true of the big security companies.0 -

Maybe they had a space at the other place and not the one nearest you?Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -
