Sorry to hear that. As tough as it is, you really need to keep him motivated now, don't let him slip into a bad place.

I'm sorry it happened, but it's not about him being just a number to them. It's about being caught giving unauthorised discounts.

In any sales job there is a temptation to give away stuff or to 'slam' a dodgy sale through in order to hit bonus...yes there is usually a bonus, isn't there? It is a temptation that MUST be resisted if he wants to stay in sales.

Sell clean...it's the only answer.
