No DD3 decided I had not had enough of hospitals and thought it would be a good idea to badly break her arm in the middle of her GCSEs.
Was stuck in hospital with her 2 days, 2 hour operation to put it right now she will have trouble getting through airport security with 2 plates and screws in her arm. At least 8 weeks in a cast which will be put on next week once they are sure the wounds are healing ok.
She did come out late last night but it was the first chance I got to lay down since thursday night. I could not sleep in those hospital chairs.
Goodness! Glad she's home now though. I can offer all sorts of advice as to how to cope with a one handed lifeI remember how difficult it was when I was younger and in plaster up past my elbow
Hey all,
Been a gorgeous day hereProductive morning tackling a few more of the 'to do list' jobs then had a fab afternoon at my besties for a BBQ  Boys both suitably worn out from playing in the garden so hassle free bedtime and I've had an evening catching up with my feet up
Loved the cake fernie, well done :T
QoC, I went to a baby shower a couple of weeks ago for a close friend. The way I saw it was that the baby shower was for Mum, so I made a hamper which I called a 'mum to be/new mum survival kit'. I included pampering things to enjoy before baby arrived whilst she still has the time for a long bath (Sanctuary stuff from Boots sale and Bodyshop candle) Then there were essentials for after the birth such as paracetamol, ibuprofen and maternity pads plus lavender oil (for in the bath for stitches), tissues (for the baby blues ), eye cream (to help disguise the bags from lack of sleep), BS hand cream (as frequent hand washing had mine cracked within a fortnight) flapjacks (to help boost milk production), biscuits (for during night feeds) and chocolate (just because
) I wrote instructions in her card and it went down really well. I meant to add a mini bottle of wine too but forgot
In total I spent less than £15 including basket and cello/ribbon and so I can get the baby a little gift when she is born.
That looks gorgeousthanks you for posting it

Trampolining!!! Overturned a back landing somersault and ended putting her arms out, right arm took full force of the rebound on the trampoline. Bone went through arm.
Luckily it has not affected use of any of her fingers and they say operation was a success. Hope no problems later on. She is very lucky she didn't break both of them.
I better add for anyone else reading this was not on a normal garden trampoline, a proper national competition type one.0 -
