    Morning all.
    Hope everyone is ok.
Blooming cats had me out of bed at 5.30 wanting out. I went back to bed but had to get up again at 7 to make my students pack lunches for the day. Cheeky beggars aren't even up yet though.

May I bend the ear of any cake makers out there if poss??
I'm making my little boys birthday cake this week (first time using sugar dough/regalice) do I need to buy edible glue to stick it together or will water be sufficient? (cooled down boiled water) I'm getting conflicting advice and obviously I don't wanna balls it up. (Any more than my amateur hands will be doing anyway :D)
Any advice will be gratefully received.
    Mucho gracias :)

Logie might be your best bet for advice. I never ice cakes apart from Christmas and that's usually a slap dash affair.

I'm thinking boiled water too but with sugar added to make it a light syrup.

Now there's one or two others who are expert cake decorators too but just can't think at the minute.

    Good luck:)

Good morning everybody, I hope you are well. I hope you all have a lovely Sunday and get some sunshine. I had a lovely day yesterday and did not spend a penny.

Hopefully I will repeat this today. Although OH needs me to get him something. He has already given me the money so therefore I am not spending my own.

I wonder will I resist the whoopsie shelf.

    Happy shopping.

Thanks TM, someone said to me about putting the sugar in the water and I had forgotten all about it. :o lol, the cake is either gonna be epic or a complete epic fail. I'm making it the day before so if it all goes horribly wrong then I've got time to leg it to Mr T's :rotfl:

Hi TrulyMadly, I hope you are well. I have another possible two weeks before new freezer comes and I am already fantasising about how much fun I will have filling it.
Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.
