If Ive got the right one it says a 2.7 KG joint would cost £21.57:eek: so if it is the right one it would be double glitchy because not only has she paid half of what she should have, it has compared wrongly to Sainsbos smaller joint. Did she actually pay £11.85 for the joint or is that just what the PP says?
Yes she paid £11.85 . It was marked up at £3.99 kg but I can't find it on t's website but she is just back from another shop and it worked again ,am wondering if they have got lbs and kilos mixed up on the comparison but as I am as good at maths as you are I think we should leave it to the experts.
3kg of gammon for under £6.00 is a good deal I think ,well not as good as dtd but less stressful.0 -

She is doing another shop on the way home to see if it was a one off so I will find out soon.

The PP site only knows how much you have paid and what the price/kg should have been on that day.
It then calculates the weight of the joint based on that price. So if you paid £11.85 and PP is programmed with £7.99 per kilo it assumes you must have bought a 1.483kg joint and compares with other supermarkets at 1.483kg
Preumably you bought a 2.96kg joint that was still stickered from a (now finished) £3.99/kg promo and so only cost £11.85
I've always said that the next best thing to claiming DTD to get your meat free is to buy half price stickered stock when the price goes back up(assuming it compares somewhere that still has a low price/kg)

Thanks for the explanation , that makes sense ,so as long as it is still marked up at £3.99 kg it should compare favourably.0
