I don't know about Einstein's shoelaces? but I do remember a quote that sticks in my mind.....I just looked it up

“Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid”
    -Einstein.
    :D

I saw the Einstein shoelaces thing said by a professor recently in some of the deep research I've done in the last few days on the internet in pursuit of my other specialist subject at the moment, "Asperger's syndrome". Others diagnosed (reported in a newspaper article) said that they'd been diagnosed and didn't want Asperger's itself to become their next topic of interest, but I saw that and thought 'why not?'.:rotfl:

I guess I like learning! I could find exactly where I found the Einstein shoelaces thing if you give me time to do so.

As regards the fish quote, this is nearly identical to someone else on the internet, who has Asperger's and has his own blog, I read it and he says about a "fish climbing a mountain". In other words, you decide it's a failure because it can't. But that fish can really swim, very very well, and that's it's talent you should be looking at, rather than criticising that it can't climb a mountain. Making such a criticism makes as much sense as criticising someone with a disability for being unable to do the thing they cannot do. Or something like that.

Do you mean 'add up' the numbers from 1 to 100?
    1+100=101
    2+99=101
    3+98=101
    ...
    49+52=101
    50+51=101

    or, put another way, 50 x 101 = 5050

    100
    99 +1 =100
    98+2=100

I'm off to England tomorrow (well, today now)

If everyone can put their collective glitch brains in gear to find me a working alcohol multibuy glitch that wouldn't work in Scotland that would be great

    Much obliged, thanks

Another person I worked with was colour blind which may have been a problem as we were printing at the time :rotfl:
But I could not get my head around why it would be a problem because for example we will say grass is green if he saw it as a particular shade of grey that is ok because to him that is green.

I can explain that, but sorry I have to get on with my Avs S list! Back later!
