They're lush and I can't/won't eat them any other way :)

You can get them in Tesco and Asda, in the foreign foods aisle.

Not quite the same but enough for my fix when my current supply runs out. In about November :rotfl:

You can eat the seeds from yours after they flower. I keep some for planting and eat the rest :D

Savvy, I noticed that you conveniently totally ignored my offer of a prodigy to train earlier :D

Today in Ts....we had every single different type of pasta read out loudly...............................in a dodgy Italian accent :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and a few funny looks :o

    ??!??

I didn't ignore it, still less totally, and even less conveniently!:rotfl::D:rotfl:
(I just went about getting on with RL and came back here as and when!)

Get your prodigy to PM me and I'm sure we'll never ever come back to the forum itself!!:D I'm glad he's proving to deal with everything totally and completely comprehensively then! See - he doesn't miss things out!

Do you know how many pastas there are? I had enough frustration with the bolognese sauces et al. last M's collection! Not fancying it again - although at least the best ones (what I think) are now all on the M list (I think!). Right, onto posting of Avs S on here - and live updating folks! Then to go through entire Avs M and all and update the A prices, as they've largely just been cut and paste for quite a few weeks now. Anyone fancy the task? You can do it yourself, you know, whilst I'm away on Avs S, and PM me the result!!;):D

I've got a couple of bags of salted roasted sunflower seeds in their shells that I brought back from Crete. I love them and always say it's a shame I can't plant them!

I expect you would have to dry them out really well to make them edible.

Yes, gonna find a new pot tomorrow and get them potted up, wonder if I should get a realllllly large pot so they will be in proportion when they finish growing.

Isn't that what the roasting does?

You can use a smaller big pot and just support them with a bamboo cane as they grow

:( they are :T well done you :D

    Found this -
To grow the largest sunflowers, it is essential to direct sow seed directly into the garden, rather than start them in pots of any kind. This is because sunflowers have long taproots that grow quickly and become stunted if confined. Peat pots in particular often dry out and block off root growth. Despite many gardener's best intentions, transplanting often gets postponed - so beat the odds and plan to sow seeds in the ground.
