I don't want to be a bad neighbour so I'll do my part and be polite as by now. I started smoking less than a year ago, it has to do with my very depressive mood and I only smoke few a day, today I had 4 rollies, I even hide from the kids, they don't know and I would like to keep it that way. So this is why I found his behaviour very strange as I don't smoke a lot and he was obviously very annoyed. I'll leave it like this just now and if he doesn't behave then I'll do something about it.
Hello cauciuca , from your picture it looks like the fence between you is not much of a barrier. Big gaps between those planks! Your neighbour is obviously rude, unpleasant, and trying to intimidate you, but I can also see that his table would be very close to your back door, and can acknowledge how unpleasant smoke can be to non-smokers. This does not condone his behaviour, but please don't make it into a war by retaliating with hosepipes etc. The best solution is usually one where both of you 'win'. Do you think adding a reed matting (or something similar) 'privacy screen', attached to your side of the fence would help? You would not be able to see eachother, he would find it more difficult to spray through at you, and it may help stop the smoke from drifting into his face too. You could maybe try sitting a little further away, or maybe just face away from him too. If this still does not work, the communtity policeman sounds like a good next move. Best of luck with this one. Nasty neighbours are horrible to live with. Hugs to you.

Happy Birthday Nannylala! I hope you have a lovely day!

Just looking at Sada.com and MSM.....the Garnier wipes are in the 3 for £6 but not showing at such on MSM. Against Sainsbug this could give a decent return?
What yas think.....? I'm willing to give it a try :)

Possible - but there are only 262 multibuys for me on msm so they may be messing about with it again

    Edit - or it's a glitch day?

    Morning

Didn't get quite as early a night as I had hoped.... DS1 started coughing at about half 10 and continued until he threw up in a arc all over his bed and 'ninnies' (the monkies like my avatar :D) He eventually calmed down enough to go back to sleep whilst ninnies had a 'bath in the washing machine' :rotfl: Thankfully he seems absolutely fine this morning :)

Have already taken delivery of my Burtons goodies that I ordered the other day. Randomly there was a free sample of Colgate Max One with a coupon inside the package :D

Anyway, now I'm caught up I ought to tackle the ironing mountain :( My least favourite job but I've put it off for too long and it hasn't magically done itself

  • Morning all

Not looking so nice here this morning :( Yesterday was lovely, was out and about all day with DD before going to work in the evening, was lovely

DD has sports day at nursery this morning, so going along to watch that. Should be cute! Will have to control my competitive urges though! :D :rotfl:

Can't remember seeing any of the latest chocs in my T's, but I still feel the need to go and look anyways, can't resist!

I know this is probably a silly question....but why don't staff allow purchases of 1p when the sel says 1p?

Is it just because they can....

I found those haribo springtime jellies on a clips trip in my local...marked at 1p...so I only took one bag just to check..was intending on getting the rest but as I went to self scan the manager was serving right next to the ss ..I know from past experience that ss beep when there's a 1p item so decided to go to the nice lady next to him and chance it...she scanned said "oh 1p?" I said "yes that's what the shelf label says..I was checking it was right ( acting dumb)" I said "I was going to get the rest as it was my daughters bday party next week so was going to use them for prizes."..grumpy manager looked over said cant believe they've put them out!!! were not supposed to sell them at that price!, he then said make the most of it cos they will be gone in a minute..he let me have the one packet and ran at the speed of light to remove the remaining 7 pks...

    Now my question is
Does he now eat them? :rotfl:
    Give them to staff?
    Send them back?
    Bin them?

Why aren't they supposed to sell them, clearly still in date, perfectly edible and according to Martins email...a tesco representative said...shoppers are lucky if they find these 1 p items, so they know they are out there...I just don't get it
    Another of life's little mysteries:)

Edit...sorry that was a bit of a ramble...I'm still a bit cross with myself for not chancing ss...but then he may have taken them all, at least I got 1... It's still sat in the cupboard..I don't want to open it:rotfl:

Right I'm off washers now stopped...
    Ttfn:)
