Get a hosepipe out for when they come back out?

Edit: Sorry, not very helpful, but I dont know what else to suggest. Do you usually talk to them, are they okay? If so, ask them what is their issues?

I can't say what you should do but my brother is having terrible problems with what seems like a similar neighbour.

I would do that gladly but no.
I try not to interfere too much with them, he doesn't speak "England" (that's what he said) lol and he is not a very nice guy.

In the interests of peace, it may be worth it this once, but if it happens again, then I would be discussing it again. Who knows what happens in others lives.

Police,noooooo !! I'd start chain smoking in your garden You've every right to light up on your own doorstep in your own garden. Then i'd tell him to **** ***. If that spray had come in contact with you then you'd have every right to report an assault.

From an ex smoker who now detests smoking !

Assume its a head hight fence?

I would take your phone and record everything incase of further problems.

Also set the hose pipe up ready

Can you take your cig to the bottom of the garden - is it just cos its outside the back door that is what is annoying him?

Do you have a local community police officer? We have one that walks all around the village and of there was something worrying going on I would ring him, leave a message and ask him to pop around and explain what had happened.
If you are on your own - on your own with just the kids and you feel threatened and not comfortable in your own home and garden you need to have a chat with your community officer.
