Love the pics Westveleteren. Such a beautiful part of the world. This is somewhere I would like to go again, especially the Krka national park. It was 1988 when we were there, and stayed on Brac. Did you visit any of the islands?

No, none of the islands, not even the one on lake Bled - Me and boats..... Think it stems from the ferry crossing S island to N island in NZ and it was a bit choppy and you could hear people throwing up. Not been on a boat since :o

Hope you enjoyed using your new camera :)

Hmm well, felt a bit strange without all my gear. Wish I had taken my camera and a macro lens because for the first time ever I saw dragonflies :j:j
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

We do have dragonflies in the UK too :)

Just need a warm day, and a pond, and you'll see them. They love basking near the waters edge in the sun, drying their wings once they've gone throught their final nymph stage.

Dragonflies have inhabited the earth for approximately 300 million years. Fossilized remains reveal that primitive relatives of modern dragonflies had wingspans around 3 feet long. :)

Keep looking whilst you're out and about in the UK :) and make sure you have your camera with you :)

I remember a fabulous place I used to take DS's to as young children, Otley Chevin, the quarry area has a large pond, and we were fascinated by the dragonflies there, such beautiful shimmering colours.

You'll get lucky one day :)

    Hey all

Done a wee coupon shop today. £41 down to £4 included exchange voucher and money off teskies coupon. :j

Funny thing was the young SA , she was about having kittens she was so excited. She says have you seen that extreme couponing ? Eh yes once or twice says me.

Apparently she says people in the USA save loads. Not here though she says. Mmmm beg to differ on that one me thinks. But I let her have her thoughts.

Anyway I was happy cause been shopping like a muggle recently.
