Natwest

Hi I recently got declined for a mortgage with halifax due to errors on my credit report (wrong date) which has now been fixed.

I applied with natwest and rang them today they said its come back from underwriters just requesting proof of deposit and valuation.

The lady said that I have passed the credit check and affordability stage and this is all what was left!.

However Im a little on edge as I know how many things can go wrong has anyone had any similar dealings with natwest when they do the survey etc etc .

And will I get credit check again? many thanks

    Hi,

Assuming you have a had full CRA credit check, and they don't require refs from employer/lender (if not a FTB), then as she says your next step is the surveyor will be instructed and you will have to provide proof of deposit (ie a bank/savings account statement) showing the monies are in place (if its not a gifted deposit).

All lenders may conduct any ad hoc credit/status checks at any time before completion - but as long as between now and then, you don't apply for any further finance, or miss any payments on any existing agreements, you've nothing to worry about from your side of things ... it'll just hinge on the property valuing up at survey with no issues.

    Hope this helps

If you submitted a full application, then I would assume so ...

BUT you know what thought did .... so to settle the nerves and avoid any confusion, quick ring on Tuesday and ask them to confirm that FULL UW (save survey and proof of depo) has been satisfactorily concluded (which means you can get a conveyencer ready to sort out the legals and searches).

    Hope this helps
