I have been on a DMP for the last 6 months with Stepchange with debts of £18k. to 4 creditors.
My mothers Aunt is not in the best of health has started to gift various items inc money around the family.
My mum has offered to help me out to the tune of £6k.
Would any of you guys with more experience than myself know if this type of figure would be acceptable as a settlement. I can not afford to add to this.
Thanks in advance.

Have a read of this:

The offer might be a bit low for this early in the process, but you don't lose much apart from a few stamps by trying.:beer:0 -
Many thanks Happy Bunny.
I thought it may be a low offer but that's all I could offer as an offer is there for me.
If not ill keep plugging away.0 -
Yeah. Not sure what the DMP rules are. Would be handy to be able to send out the offer and see who comes back close enough to be able to meet and then tell the other ones thy you will give the money to another creditor as they are being more reasonable.
Maybe ask Stepchange?:beer:0 -

Maybe ask Stepchange?
I will be ringing them Tuesday.0 -
If they won't accept it as F&F, you could at least share it amongst your creditors or pay off some of them altogether. I suspect Stepchange will want to share it.What will your verse be?
