information urgently needed please

Hi everyone - wondered if you could help me please. I'm about to pay off some credit cards and really fancied trying to negotiate a final settlement lower than the debt. Question is - does this leave an adverse track someewhere on my record and can they ever chase me for t he rest if they have accepted a settlement figure. Anyone got experience of this please? Also, although several payments have been late they have always ben apid so are they likely to want to settle for less than the full amount anyway?

thanks

Would love the same info - seem to be at a similar stage to you - wondered if because I have been making the payments - all be it sometimes late, would that mean companies would rather carry on that way??? Let me know how you get on - will keep you infromed if I get to know anything else.

F&F deals are unlikely on accounts that have not been defaulted. You're still within your terms and conditions and so late payment fees and interest will continue to be applied. Yes, credit companies are happy with that.
