Master File Table files - !!!!!!?

I defrag pretty regularly using Auslogics Defragger. Today, I notice a block of files that I'm sure wasn't there yesterday. They are listed as Master File Table files and have eaten up around 8GB of hard drive space.

Can anyone please explain what they are and do I need to take any action. My HD is only about 120GB, so it's a large chunk to lose.

Thanks guys.

Have you changed any settings, such as to change the size of the Page File?

Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

Yes, I did that, but two of the pages I opened had trojans attached!

No settings changed. As an aside, I used to be able to get 131GB of clear space, but over time it has whittled down to 102GB today. I regularly use CCleaner, etc and I haven't loaded 29GB of software.

Is there anywhere, other than the usual places, where crap is building up (in the MFT?) that is eating up my free space?
