Overpaid by Work, Help??

So I left work over a month ago, as I was unable to perform to the standard required while pregnant. (all legal and above board)
I was given the choice to resign and be welcomed back should I want it in the future. Or essentially start dismissal proceedings so I chose to leave.
Got my final wage and it seemed about right so went about paying my bills.
Got a letter from HR saying they had overpaid me by around £200. I asked for a breakdown which they supplied and I accept I was overpaid just didn't notice on my last pay because I thought I had some holidays left (I didn't).
Problem is, I'm on JSA living with my parents. I moved back to try and get out of debt, so the majority of my JSA is already on payment arrangement for council tax arrears/water arrears/gas arrears.
I don't have the £200 just to give back. I could only offer £5-10pm max. Would they accept this??
I'm also worried they might just take it straight out of my bank as I was paid by direct debit. Then I'll have a massive overdrawn and not pay my other bills and right !!!! up all my payment arrangemnts!

Contact them and arrange to make minimum payments each month - it shows willingness on your behalf and for this sum of money I can't see them taking it any further.
Good luck and hope you get it sorted out

I was overpaid last year, I haven't left but basically I had sick pay which is entered manually by the payroll guys and whoever did it entered an extra 1 so i got 1000 extra !
But they just e-mailed and gave me an account number and sort code to pay it back to anytime.
They should hopefully be flexible with you given it was a genuine mistake spending that money0 -

You would have been paid by Standing Order and not by Direct Debit, so they can't just take the money from your bank account."The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money"0 -

I second that. I've been of for 18 weeks so far with extreme morning sickness. My work cannot start disciplinary proceedings because its pregnancy related and would be discrimination. I'm going back soon but prior to this I would not have been capable of doing my job to an acceptable standard.
reasonable adjustments should be made. I would certainly check the 'legal and above board' bit.0 -
I spent 6 months vomiting due to hyperemesis gravida, and was able to work very little, they found me light duties and I could lie down, have breaks, and go and be sick when I needed, if I was very sick i would just go home, I did very little to be honest, if you are ill like this you have to start your Mat. leave as early as possible though.
By them effectively giving you an ultimatum, they have broken the law, they say you can have your job back later, but you have no guarantees of that and they have craftily dodged paying you maternity pay. I am guessing you are not in a union.
