Things getting on top of me again

Options
Hi everyone

It's not that I'm getting back into my old ways, but every so often the pressure of the debt just creeps up on me and I feel stifled.

With some great advice from people on here, I managed to arrange to move home by negotiating with Payplan and I am going to need to contact them soon to give them my new expenditure. I dread the thought of doing it again. Accounting for every pound of my income with nothing for treats or fun. My OH is out of work at the moment snd his 2 little kids moved in with us at short notice a few months ago. Then I found out I am pregnant which I am really happy about but my finances are destroying it for me, and then I found out I don't qualify for maternity pay because I haven't been in my job for long enough.

I feel stifled by all this and when I think of the effect this is having on the baby I feel so guilty for allowing myself to get pregnant.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Don't feel guilty about your baby, when you are expecting you don't need more stress.

It looks like you have been making really good progress towards being debt free, it might take a bit longer now, but you will still get there.

Are you claiming all the benefits you are entitled to with having the children with you now?

    Thanks Moohound

I just feel like I don't deserve all this. Self pitying I know as I got myself into all this but I was terribly depressed at the time and not thinking straight at all. I just feel that, yes I made some mistakes, but do I really deserve all this? I'm a kind person, struggling to bring up two children who are not my own and who don't even respect me.

Sigh! We are getting some tax credits for the children but are starting to get advice on anything else we might be entitled to.
