Can anyone recommend a reliable company to book a wedding in Italy please?

Options
After ten years, my other half and I got engaged in December 2012. We just want a simple elopement package in northern Italy (Venice or Lake Garda) with maybe a handful of guests ideally for under £3000.

We went to our local Thompson's travel agents in December and were told by the wedding planner to return in April when the new brochures came out. We did this and to cut a long story very short we have been too-ing and fro-ing and had 5 appointments now and still haven't got anywhere with planning or booking anything. The wedding planner never phones us when she says she will and loses our details as she just writes them on scraps of paper each time!

We tried Thomas Cooke and have had the exact same issues there where the agent (store manager!) said she would get some prices and contact us so we can get booking. But that was 5 weeks ago and she never contacted us.

I don't know any other reliable travel agencies in the UK. I have seen some websites for wedding planers based in Italy but they are 3 or 4 x the price of Thomsons and Thomas Cooke and I am wary of booking something with a company that is based abroad.

Can anyone recommend a reliable company I could try please? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
