1, I hope you are buying unwaxed lemons

    2, heat destroys vitimin C

So check as you'll be drinking wax or worthless lemon flavour.

I make something a bit different and it's excellent for hot summers day as it's so refreshing especially if you do anything active.

It will even cure a hangover :T

    inch of fresh ginger
    1 lime
    1 lemon
2 desert spoons of honey to taste (I use manuka 15+)

Get ginger and mash it up in a pestle n mortar until it goes milky.

Bang in a glass/Pyrex jug or whatever you want to brew in and poor on 1/2 pint of boiling water, cover (I use a plate) and leave for 30 mins to go tepid.

I decant into a mug here using a tea strainer and squeeze the sodden ginger in my fist back in the jug until it's pointless.

Cut lemon/lime in 1/2 and using a desert fork go to town on them squeezing into the jug. If you do it over the tea strainer it catches the seeds n bit that fall out.

Poor lemon n lime into the cup with ginger tea.

Put a bit of boiling water into the jug and add in the honey stir to dissolve add to lemon/lime/ginger mix and enjoy.

Sounds fiddly but really only take a couple of minutes if that to make.

I use to chuck this in a large cycling water bottle and make up to a ltr with water.

I'm trying to figure out how to add dried red ginseng to this mix. It has to be small amount 1/2 a tea spoon crushed, brewed then removed. Plus you can only safely do 14 days on and 14 days off with it as it's potent and dangerous in high does

I squeeze half a lemon into the cup and pour a bit of cold water in before I add the hot/warm water to preserve the vitamins.

I have read some mediterranean people take a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil first then the lemon drink and it boosts metabolism and helps keep their weight down.
