Second Job - Help

Hello
I have just joined up to be a consultant for Scentsy (similar idea to Avon/PartyLite)
I have asked my sponsor to provide me with the info for registering a second job (as I have a Full-Time Job) but she has yet to give me anything.
I really do not want to get on the wrong side of anyone so I am wondering if anyone can help me?
I have not started selling yet (I may never get an order!) but I have a consultant page through Facebook and a few people have been asking for catalogues, I have no prices stated on the page.
Can someone please help me, if you have any questions please let me know and I will answer as soon as I can!

Welcome to the ranks of the self-employed. you've got a bit of reading to do on this subject.
TIP 1
Technically you start self-employment when you take your first income.
You have 3 months from then to register with HMRC or be fined £100.
TIP 2
Claim small earnings exemption so as NOT to pay Class 2 NIC.
PS

My tip for self-employment is that the tax office can be on your side.
Many people don't realise this. They think that the tax man is out to get them, that they're trying to catch them out.
But if you are going to be honest about the money you have coming in then the tax office will help you with what you need to do.
You are liable to pay tax on any profits you make as a self-employed person. These profits will be the total of the money that comes in less the total of your legitimate expenses (e.g. cost of goods that you are selling, cost of shipping, cost of catalogues, etc).
If this was your only employment then you would get your tax free allowance, etc, but as you are already working the chances are that you've already used that up and so will have to pay tax on the full amount of your self-employment profits.
Put the money away for this when you get it - don't wait for a huge bill to come in.
Also tell tax credits as soon as you can of the change in circumstances if you receive them.0
