can someone please tell me...

(I just wrote this post and it vanished, so I hope am not repeating myself!)

...what will happen if I go on living out of my overdraft until my bankruptcy appointment?!

Is this seen as a bad thing? And what if I use what's left to pay my bankruptcy fees? Is this frowned upon or what most people do? Any help/advice gratefully recieved!

TIA

When there is no other alternative this is acceptable to the OR and should not be questioned provided it is used for essential living expenses only...in other words don't go on a shopping spree!

    Couldn't agree more dither,

In fact I would say to carry on buying "essential living items" until there's nothing left in the account to draw on :D

Ah, good good. Might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb or sommat? ;)

    Cheers for the feedback!
  • I hadn't used my bank a/c for 8 months then had a statement saying I had 170.00 available in overdraft so I withdrew 160.00 to put towards BR and when I told OR he didn't batter an eye lid ...go for it ...
BR as of 26th April 2007 and feeling 10 years younger :T

If only ex could be sorted as easily :wall:

I know I'm stating the obvious but ... after your bankruptcy you won't have an overdraft 'to live on'. So check now that you are getting the benefits you are entitled to and think about your budget.

Cheers guys. Fatbelly-you're right. I'll be going back to work very shortly afterwards so hopefully things should get back on track from there on.
