Sounds like she fell asleep or something. At least she came back, I suppose that's one thing and that she actually had insurance.

Well good luck with it all.

Insurance company have just got back to me, they have offered me £1,000, and of course I have accepted it, we were taking it to the scrap yard in the next couple of weeks so she has done us a huge favour.
Me & OH seem to have come into some luck, first being accepted for the loan, then A & L offering us £440.00 (accepted) and now with the car (£1,000), they say they come in 3's, i even bought a lottery ticket on Saturday, I was 1 out on Every Number. Fingers crossed things stay this way, if only we had house insurance we could of got a new driveway done.
The insurance cheque is going in the post 2moz so should get that on thursday, but between now and next tuesday I have a curtesy car, so all is going very well.

we were going to buy a new car out of some of the the loan anyway, so this has just helped, so we will not need to use as much of loan money than we thought, I have spoken to them 2day, they are coming around next week to do a valuation but we should get that money end of next week
We bought the car in Oct 2006 for £500 and it has no MOT on it, we must be the only people who make money on cars, normally you always loose money on them.

can you not claim for the driveway from her car insurance? The accident was her fault after all. I reckon the reason she scarpered was she was probably over the limit.

In your soa you have mortgage costs- you do realise that it is a condition of your mortgage that you have current buildings insurance at the very least?
When you get it be sure to go via quidco- I've just renewed mine and it cost £244 for rebuilding up to £100000 and there was £100 cashback.

I have a Myspace site, but I can't access it from work and I don't have the internet at home anymore. I'll log into the library and find out what the address is.

yes that is on our urgent list of prioties to do once we get some money in the bank, this month has been v hard, we went on our hols last mth, OH wages have been messed up and they are still not in the bank (£800+ owing), should get it this week they have promised, and we have also just had to pay £50 against this courtesy car as a deposit for fuel, all should be good next week, just waiting to get a cheque from the insurance company (not arrived today) and a cheque from A & L.
