i think i have managed to sort out what i need to do, just wondering if anyone was confirm ive got it right or if there is anything ive missed.
I have a not very helpful fella so im dealing with my debts on my own. although we live together its always been yours and mine, and i think it stems from his ex wife fleecing him and leaving him in debt...but hey ho.
Since we have been together ive been dealing with debt from my 1st marriage, nice ex didnt pay anything and it was all in my name and as i was home with daughter i had no wage.. so fast forward and im now on a DMP with b&e, yet stupidly i got into a tangle with pay day loans, it wasnt just wasting money my lovely 16 yr old got herself pregnant...hence needed help form the bank of mum!
so reading about i can move my dmp to a free one, also i intend to add my PD loans to it.
so in forward thinking i have a bank account that isnt linked to any PD loans it was used when ex paid maintenance so i can swap my wages to that.
I have printed the letters to stop the continuous payments ready to send.
im about to change my mobile number to stop continual calls and txt from PD companys..so no temptation and no harassing calls when they suddenly dont get the payments.
what id like advice on is if i go to the bank and close the account will that stop them trying to take anything? i mean if the account is closed they cant get the money so is that an option? i do have another account in the same bank will i need to close that too??
As i only really want to add the PD loans to the DMP have i done the right things??

Yes. Good plan. Close all accounts.
Also cancel CPAs with the companies.
Then it's the banks fault if they pay them.
Have a read of this, it talks about CPA abuse:
