We’ve teamed up with Great British Bake Off finalist James Morton to launch a nationwide search for the best biscuit recipe in Britain and we’d like all of you amateur bakers to share your favourite recipes with us.

The winning recipe will be created by Border Biscuits and actually go on sale at Tesco. The winner will also receive £2,000 and a place on a fantastic baking course to develop their baking skills even further.

Note the T&C:

• Competition open to amateur bakers aged 18 years and over
• Entries must be sweet biscuit recipes only, no other baked goods will be considered
• Only one recipe and entry per person
• You cannot have ever worked full time as a baker, cook or chef. Your professional income must not derive from commercial baking in a professional environment (restaurant, hotels, canteens, shops etc)
• You must not be an employee or be closely related to a member of Border Biscuits staff
• All entrants must agree to take part in publicity
• All recipes must be original
• All entries must include a list of ingredients (and quantities), method, baking instructions and a photograph of the finished biscuit
• All biscuits entered in the competition should have a unique name
• If you are chosen as the winner your recipe will become the ownership of Border Biscuits and will be produced by Border Biscuits (as a limited edition biscuit) in conjunction with a retailer
• By entering this competition you agree to share your recipe with Border Biscuits
• The winner will receive £2k prize money and a place on a baking course (location and timings to be mutually agreed with the winner)
• The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
