No problem. It happens to us all.
The fund was once great and Fidelity themselves were a fund house where it didnt really matter what fund you picked as they were nearly all excellent. They have really suffered with retention in the last year or two. Not quite at credit suisse levels but enough to see them no longer being regarded as they once were.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

What about other fidelity funds? I was thinking about putting my university savings in one....0 -
Read the article you posted:
"Only two out of 28 Fidelity funds have beaten their bench-mark indexes over the past 12 months, according to an analysis by Bestinvest, an adviser."
In the 90's before fund supermarkets you had to go direct to a fund manager for your PEP [the fore runners of ISAs] and Fidelity were IMO the best. As well as Special Sits, their European, UK Aggressive and many of their other funds were market leaders now none are AFAIK.
Their fund supermarket Fundsnetwork isn't up to much either as it is very slow in taking up new Funds like the new PSigma Income one or even SLI's UK Unconstrained Equity.
Anyway we're digressing from the thread - why don't you start your own on the Savings Board if you want to talk about funds? Plenty of helpful and knowledgeable posters there to give you pointers - and I certainly don't include myself in the latter category!0 -
Yes, of course. I wish the OP all the best in finding something suitable and also lucrative for them.0
