Recommend me cycle helmet & gloves

Cheap :rotfl: I'm broke & beginner. What brands are good quality & will stop my brain leaking out of the hat if I crash

And fingerless gloves to stop those blisters

:money:

I don't have a helmet, but these Gore gloves are very comfortable and stop my hands slipping off the handlebars (and they stop blisters too).

If your broke, anything from Aldi, good quality and cheap. Had my cycling gloves from there, fingerless and full, and they lasted me years. Fit is the most important aspect for helmets, no need to spend silly money.

Only problem is catching when they are in.

Just bought two helmets from Aldi last week £9.99 each. Good quality and complete with led light on rear adjustment screw

    Bell It's what they do.
Not cheap but what value do you place on your safety?

Go to Decathlon and buy the ones that are the most comfortable.

If you're getting blisters perhaps there's something wrong with the grips or you're doing something slightly wrong, as in my experience I've never used gloves and never had a single blister.

To get a blister surely there must be some movement/rubbing between the skin and the handlebar grip, so wouldn't a firm hand grip preclude that ?
  • I spent quite a bit on a helmet (Bell) and then cut back on things like gloves etc. Its your brain its protecting so needs to be good.
