Bad Credit Loan £1,500

Has anyone any reasonable experiences with the companies that lend to people with a ccj's and offer high APRs?
NO! It aint going to happen! I don't mean to be harsh, but that's what everyones been trying to tell you since the start of the thread!
The companies that "might" lend you money, are never reasonsable. You would be an ABSOLUTE idiot to even consider borrowing from then.
Tell your boyfriend you're sorry but you can't afford it. If he loves you he wouldn't ask you to even think about taking out debt like this.
Why don't you ask him to get a 0% credit card (if he has a good credit rating) to use for the repairs, then you can pay him back £400 a month? Or get him to bite the bullet and claim on his insurance. I know he doesn't want to, but needs must and that....0 -
get the cheapest lease car you can find without deposit and save for the repair.
is the car of paramount importance at the moment? could he cycle to work or car share for a bit?
crazy loans are not the way to go even if you could find one0 -
am i the only one thinging as YOU were driving and YOU were insured to drive it then it would make sense for YOU to claim on the insurance YOU hold/held, therefore not affecting HIS no claims bonus?0

That wouldn't work santas_helper.
Driving Other Cars extensions are Third Party Only, so wouldn't fix the car, but would fix the wall, if it were damaged, which it isn't.0 -
How come you now have £400 to repay a loan with?
With that history I would have thought it wise to save money just in case an unforeseen expense occurs.
As above, there are no lenders for you. Even if any of them entertained the application they will be rightfully dubious of your £400 spare each month claim..0 -

Whatever you do, don't make matters worse by entering your card details into random websites that promise that they will find you a loan and only need your card details for verification purposes. This is a lie and they are brokers who will stitch you up for around £70 each (payable the second you click OK) and will then only find you payday loans for £100 ish at ridiculous APRs (think 2000% APR or more).

are you a named driver if so was it comprehensive. if so why not just pay the excess and pay the difference in his next insurance renewal. that even with a crash will be cheaper.
if not he chose to risk it. you can't offord it simply put. the wife has written 2 cars off and ive never been bothered by the cost much more concerned that she was ok.0 -
OP I see 2 sensible options here, 1 suggested by pauletruth and the 1 suggested by AFK_Matrix and gb but depends if its driveable, even 3 options actually if you consider the 1 by hudson.0

Not going to get involved with the loan, as I think others have made it quite clear it's unlikely, but I do agree with the one poster that I'm rather put back that your bf is more worried about his 'no-claims' than your well-being. If my wife would have an accident, I wouldn't give a toss about the car, as long as she's ok. I'd prefer to have to walk everywhere and use buses till I could make arrangements for the car than see her hurt...0

Thanks, I think that's a great solution as I have £600 available I could more than afford the excess and yes I can pay the difference next year. I had more than enough money save to pay this a couple of months ago but I've paid for some work on my home so fabulous solution!
