CCJ Question - Help!!

My OH has a CCJ on his credit file which will be six years old in Oct, so I understand it'll be removed.

He has had no contact from this company, until today when a letter has been put through the door.

If he ignores it will the CCJ still go? I say he should pay up and it annoys me so much he has got himself into this situation but he can't afford to pay.

Any advice appreciated.

The CCJ won't go, he's still liable, although it won't show on his file any more. Not responding to it is risking enforcement action such as bailiffs, attachment of earnings, charging orders and so on. If he literally can't afford to pay anything then he needs to renegotiate the debt at a token payment of £1 a month - he does this by filling in an N244 form at his local county court.
