Wrongfully made Bankrupt

Hi Guys, I 've just been made Bankrupt for non payment of council tax of a flat I rented out between 1999 and 2004. I have now provided Tenancy agreements to bring the bill down to 60 pounds but the Court decided to dismiss my annulment application because the onus was on me to provide the evidence at the time before the Bankruptcy took place. My problem now is because the official recievers and trustees have now been involved the costs as we speak are now 11,000 I dont know what to do!!!!. Is there a way i can fight this injustice?.

Basically unless the OR decides there's a case for overturning it, I think you're stuck. I certainly think you need proper professional legal advice and not advice posted in a forum.
I'd not bother with CAB either as it'll take forever to get to see someone who can sort it, assuming there's anyone at all.
How come you've ended up with £11k fees?0 -
I agree with Conor, you need expert advice. I think getting an annulment may largely depend on whether you knew the council were making you BR.0

The official recievers fee and trustees fee. I was unaware they were going to make me bankrupt but the claim was that i was served at my last known address. Anyway does anyone know where i can get good legal advice? Thanks0

Most firms of solicitors will have insolvency experts. Try and get a free half hour consultation with 2 or 3 and go with the one that you trust most.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

I also think you should get specialist advice on this. You can read some basic info on how to get a bankruptcy cancelled/annulled here though.BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

Anyone know what the eventual outcome was here? I'm in a similar though more complex situation!0
