Urgent advice please

Options
I have a court judgment with black horse and have been paying as i should for the last few years not missing any payments etc .
Today i have had a letter of black horse to say the debt has now been sold "can they add anything to it?" to lowell and i am to contact them to set up a d/d or pay off in full .
The debt it states was sold in march black horse have continued to take two further payment since then so the amount lowell are asking for is more than is owed .
What do i do ??? as if i miss a payment i will get bailiff action , if i set up d/d they will take more out , if i ring dont go there .
SUGGESTIONS PLEASE .

If the debt is subject to a CCJ only the court can vary it. Additional interest may be payable if the original agreement allowed this. You should be able to check this by looking at statements from Lloyds.

Unfortunately, this doesn't mean that Lowells won't try it on and you will need to watch them like a hawk. If they try to add charges then you do not need to pay those.

I would strongly advise you to set up a standing order rather than a direct debit as debt collectors in general shouldn't be trusted with access to your bank account. You should email or write to Lowell asking them for their bank details. Don't ring them.

Have you checked whether the original judgement amount included any unlawful charges or payment protection insurance?

Hi i have just spoken to the court they said as long as the original company has said they have sold the debt and to who you pay the same ammount to the buyer of the debt and maintain payments and keep receipts as i have been doing .
No charges have been added to the debt

Good but keep an eye on Lowell.

Just to be clear I was talking about penalty charges and ppi being added to the debt before the CCJ was granted.

Follow up i have had a letter now from the solicitors who dealt with my judgment for the company i owed they said they do not act for the company for this account anymore and sent the same to the court who dealt with it.
I have emailed lowell as july payment will be due in july , but i have no way of paying it as they do not do standing orders, not sent a paymenyt book and i have been told not to do payment over phone with debit card.I am happy to carry on paying by standing order.
I am worried they may make default then ask court to send in bailiffs for the full amount they have already asked for more than the court ordered i pay .
AVISE PLEASE WHAT DO I DO NOW!!!

It has been known for companies to take further payments using debit card details.

I did it once and another company took out £500 instead of £15 i told the bank they said i should not set up d/d or use debit cards to pay dcollectors, but do standing orders only as you controll amounts , they then cancelled by debit card and issued another so no further payments could be requested .
I took the banks advice over the dc who said set up a d/d and make card payments .

That's good advice ... and from a bank!

    From Lowell's website:
If you are not in a position to pay your debt in full, we can arrange for payment monthly by direct debit, standing order, card or cheque.

Refer them to their own website!

I think this is the info you need (but check it first in case this is my personal bank account):
    Standing order details

Please use the following details when setting up a standing order. Please use your Lowell reference number as the reference number for your payment or plan.

    Sort Code: 60-00-01
    Account Number: 39543749
    Natwest Bank Plc
