Problem with mortgage

I have a problem with my endownment, I have sold my house paid off the mortgage and i want to cash in my endownment, my mortgage company has charged me £85 to send a letter to the endownment company, the endownment company keep saying they have not received the two letters now sent and the fax that has been sent, i have contacted the ombudsman but it could take eight weeks and i need the money to make up the difference on the new house i am buying. Any ideas on any way to make them payout.
