That's how I feel at times.!! I think that's only fair as I seem to be doing most of their work for them. They'd probably still have me down as a nil assessment if I hadn't let them know I'd started work.!!
I've kept them informed about the changes in circumstances that I've had and still I'm going to be on the phone again later (and posting documents to them) as they've not managed to sort out a new payment schedule yet...
I've given them my salary details and the details of my employer but just shy of 3 months into the job they've still not got things organised. I guess they're waiting for the actual wage slips..??
The last letter I had included figures from about 2006 and I've heard nothing since I phoned up to say that the figures were wrong and I wouldn't being paying what they were asking for...

Its your responsibility to let them onow your working so you can continue to provide for your child?
Are you paid weekly or monthly? Have you received and passed on any wage slips to them?0 -

I know it's my responsibility (hence the reason I phone them)
I haven't sent wage slips through as I get paid monthly and have only just got my the wage slips for my 2nd full month. However, I did phone through after receiving my first full months wages (which will not change going forward) and gave them all the information off the document. As it's a County Council - I thought they might be able to accept the information I gave them (but I guess I was wrong.!)
I'll just have to do the usual and pay by card over the phone again...

It takes a long, long time to get everything straight, and is hugely stressful, even the more so when you are self employed and have a (genuine) bad year, and try to seek a re-assessment and so on. We have fixed my husband's wages at the same regular amount to try to ensure continuity, yet most of what he is paid is actually at a loss.
Luckily I have a reasonably good relationship with them as such, but it is very, very hard. Try to stay patient! Make sure you keep good paper records of all letters and communications - I tend to write down as I go; the name of the person, date, time, duration, what was said, the outcome, things I need to do and so on.
Keep at it!0
