Retainer Brite and Denture Cleaner

Is there really any difference between the two, except Retainer Brite costing four times as much?
DD is having a removable appliance fitted on Thursday, I do have some Retainer Brite left over from my son's treatment, but I was wondering, wouldn't the denture cleaners that are suitable for dentures with metal and plastic parts do the same job. It's not just about the money, it's also for the convenience of being able to pick it up while I'm shopping.
Any thoughts?

As far as I know there are no soak type denture cleaners that are safe for metal parts. Steradent etc corrode metal components and weaken them.
Personally speaking providing they are meticulous about cleaning the brace with toothbrush and tooth paste I am not that concerned they need additional cleansers but if the orthodontist has recommended it follow their instructions.0 -
I use Retainer Brite daily for a MRA and wonder if Milton tablets would do the same job? They have to be cheaper!
I do brush the MRA daily but the Retainer Brite keeps the device looking as good as new. Just too expensive.
Any thoughts/advice would be welcome.0
