Inflation falls to 2.4%

Not necessarily, inflation rates can be affected by an actual drop in individual prices between one month and another or even one year and another.
Wow really! Do you have any other glimpses of the bleeding obvious to share?
Edit: I think it must have been obvious to you that I was referring to the 2.4% figure, it was to Andy who admitted he was on a wind up.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

I'm ok thanks, probably fed up with the way this forum board is, I only commented on this thread because I felt sorry for someone, it just turned out to be a complete waste of time.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
It's interesting to note that in January 2013 both CPI and RPI actually fell; I don't recall anyone posting about it.
Of course the annual rate of inflation showed a year on year increase.0 -

Yes, that CPI at +2.4% means that prices have actually increased over the past year
My point was that fuel prices have actually dropped, not just their rate of increase. 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. It was obvious what your point was! I'll say it again then, it doesn't seem to have sunk in:

OK, we all now understand that if prices increase by 2.4% they are higher than last year, thanks for that.
Edit:
It is not necessarily true month on month, prices could have fallen from last month but still show an annual increase, so prices would actually be falling.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Excellent news, all us people that commute to work on aeroplane are quids in!Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0

Are you really that stupid that you don't realise that this is rather obvious? What is your next revelation, that Sunday follows Saturday?

Doesn't seem quite so obvious from your earlier post?
My point is that it may be that prices are currently increasing but it is not a given. They aren't getting cheaper, the rate at which they are increasing is falling (ie they are still going up in price, but at a rate less than they were previously).'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is.
