Hello all  still mostly lurking but I just got a bit (over!) excited and wanted to share... I went to B&Q last night in attempt to be MSE and buy a couple of herbs to grow my own! After the most dreadful customer service I've come across I wrote my first comlpaint email (and left without buying a thing)!

I have just received an apology from the Store Manager who is sending me a £10 voucher and booked me an appointment with a horticulture expert (which is probably a bit over the top for a few herbs!) to discuss my needs. So, when I go back at the weekend my MSE idea will actually end up being free :D

I also made £5 doing surveys on my lunch break today so feeling pretty good about things.

Dinner with a friend tonight and although it'll be a cost I've suggested a food and drink festival in town where they're serving really good, but really reasonable tapas! So it won't be as bad as first thought. Hurrah!

    I hope you're all having a good day :)

High five you! My mother always taught me to write to complain and although Im no Victor Meldrew, I have had many successful complaints. In your case it does sound a bit OTT, but go with it as its a great result:T

Foxgloves - Wow your recipe sounds amazing. I really wish I'd read it before starting dinner. A sort of rustic bean stew type affair yum! Will remember for next time.
Pernicious - Thanks for your suggestion too.

In the end I went with a roast dinner as I just thought well it doesnt really matter if the meat is cubed or not, but will be more adventurous next time.

Today turned out to be a NSD which is brilliant. I didnt have to buy petrol & had enough things to take to provide lunch for my friend anyway, so no cost today, but will def need petrol tommorow. Does the NSD dance:money:

    Night all.
