Hello lovely DFWers
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:
Today I will:
- send everyone with pack ups
- do my banking
- have a day full of clients so no time to spend!
- not increase my debt in any way
- be positive
Have a good day everyone xx

Hi hypno, hi to everyone else too. Today:
- am running my finance work while I'm sitting here typing.
- have been tidying up my threads subscriptions on here after what I posted yesterday on the daily tasks thread - about catching up on what I've posted on here but not done. There are some ongoing things that still haven't finished, but I've done everything except the Amazon CDs and the free online training course. So they're my priority for today:
- list some Amazon CDs
- start my free online training course.
- write to the bank where I have my French mortgage and update my account details.
- do my clicks (not been so good on these recently, cos I've been spreading my wings a bit in investigating what I can do, but should get back, they're pretty easy if you focus. Ah yes, focus.....
Have a good day all....
I was at pigsback and thought, why not? So I put a review in about our local festival, it'll be interesting to see if it gets picked or whatever.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Today I will NOT be doing what I usually do when I've just been paid, which is to spend as if I'm rich (and then end up struggling by end of the month)! Had to get some toiletries and household bits and pieces last night but got as much as possible from pound shop, and did a food shop sticking to normal weekly budget. And I've had my one lunch from the canteen this week so back to home made today.
I've also posted off debt cheques and updated monthly spreadsheet.
And got myself a little box to keep all receipts from the month in so I can keep track!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
