Can your brother (or you) type, or even handwrite at a push, a simple contract stating that he has purchased the phone on her behalf and she is paying him back at X amount per week/month. Include the relevant dates, how long it is anticipated she will take to pay off the debt, etc. Have both of them sign it and witnessed and the date it is signed.
So, heaven forbid, if the relationship ends, he has some proof that the phone was bought for her and she is responsible for paying for it.0 -
