I can't see many first time buyers buying a house over 125k unless you have the bank of mum and dad as saving up for over 12k plus 2k in other costs is a heck of a lot of work:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

Although not affecting the total amount borrowed significantly, if you hold a Halifax current account, you'll be given an additional £150 incentive for taking out a mortgage product.0

We're FTBs and are going with this mortgage deal. Our purchase price is £171,000 so we are saving ourselves a fair bit not having to pay stamp duty. It was definitely the best offer on the table when we were at the stage of choosing our lender.First home purchased 09/08/2013

Me and OH have put an offer in on a house, and the vendor hasn't secured a house to move into yet so we asked how long the offer would be on the table for and they said as long as we complete before January next year the offer won't expire.
Not sure if this is because we already have the ball rolling though?First home purchased 09/08/2013

Where I live there are virtually no houses under that amount.0
