Our old integrated dishwasher had died. We can't remove it easily ourselves and was wondering if anyone could recommend someone who could do this for us? Belfast area.

Thanks.

Who's providing the replacement? Would they not take your old one away? Or at least put it out front for you so you can call the council and arrange to have it collected?

Try a domestic appliance repair man - I've sent you a PM with details of a good one I know.

    Thanks gmm30. Appreciate it.

The problem is not the disposal but actually removing it from it's location in the kitchen. We can't get it out without apparently having to dismantle half the kitchen (remove worktop etc). Can't get at the back feet to lower them and it seems to be anchored in by some fixings we can't see or access. Was hoping a professional would have a solution that would minimise the disruption to the rest of the kitchen.

It would be normal to have fixing screws driven in on both sides from the adjacent cabinets. Have you examined both sides to see if that is the case?

EDIT: also examine the upper lip of the dishwasher where it touches the forward edge of the bench. Check that there aren't two fixing screws there - one on either side.

You've probably already done this, but in case you haven't... You'll probably need to remove the kick board below the cupboards - these are normally held on with plastic clips on the legs of the units, but might be grouted/siliconed in place as well.
