Experiences with West Brom ?

Hello,
Just going through a remortgage with the West Brom and have found the whole process somewhat farcical with their inability to do anything in a timely manor.
Duly submitted the application and paperwork and thought nothing of it for a couple of weeks. I called them for an update to be told they wanted some additional information, no problem, they were sending out a letter to confirm. 4 days later and still nothing so I call them and am informed 'oh, we haven't sent that yet'. They dictate the letter to me so I can collate the information and send the information to them which I do.
Over the next couple of weeks there are various conversations to call back in a couple of days, call back next week, oh person X is on holiday so nothing is happening, etc, etc. At this point I am still 'waiting' for the letter informing me what they needed! They are now apparently working through a 3 week backlog and there is no guarantee they will be happy with the supplied information at which point I am told if we need to supply more we go to the back of the postal backlog.
I have no problem with supplying any information they request but the apparent incoherent way they deal with things just seems madness. Am I naive to think they would have an 'pending info' tray which would mean when a response to a query they raised is received they would be dealt with more quickly?!
Am I just unlucky or is this typical of them?
Cheers

West Brom were best rated on some of the 5 year deals and therefore I imagine you selected them based upon rate.
As a smaller lender they do not have the infrastructure to deal with that level of demand, as unfortunately you are experiencing.
Ones I have seen have not been this badly administered, although they are typically a fair bit slower than others.
