Had my light bulb monent but how to move forward

Options
Hi,

Well I separated from my husband about 14 months ago and we were significantly in debt, I have cleared one loan, have one joint loan to finish in December and my main concern is a credit card with 11k on..yes I know, a huge amount on a credit card! My ex partner used to use the card for building materials for jobs and I (stupidly) presumed he was paying off when he got paid but suffice to say as card is in my name I am now paying the price of this. My credit rating is not good enough to change to a 0% deal so it looks like I am just in for the long haul trying to pay it all back. I have been 'lurking' here for a while but now think I would like to actually join you good people in tackling debt.

I have reduced everything as much as possible, but am now getting disheartened at how to make inroads into debt..

First step is to post up a statement of affairs as listed here

The link to fill out a Statement of Affairs

    http://www.stoozing.com/calculator/soa.php

This will let you see how much you have coming in and going out on all bills etc, so will show an accurate amount of what 'should' be left towards debt payments...

If you choose MSE at the bottom once you have completed and post up here, there are some great people will great tips on cutting back some of your bills..

I would go for a spring clean on all the finances - even if you save 5 pounds here and 10 pounds there it'll all add up.
A spending diary is also useful as well.
Then there's all the challenges on here. There's one floating around called 100 ways to pay off 1% of your debt and many others as well.
    Best of Luck
