Gift ideas for mother to be,big sister and 30th birthday please help me

Hi,I just wondered if anybody could give me some ideas on the following:

Mother to be :---my best friend is pregnant, due in October and although I will be buying allsorts for the baby I would like to get her something just for her in the build up to little one being born any ideas?.

Also she has a little girl who will be 3 when the baby is born so I would like to get something for her so that she doesn't feel left out,any ideas?.

Any ideas on what to get her partner so that he doesn't feel left out?

My friend will also be 30 about 2 months before the birth any ideas?.

Thank you to anyone who can help me out,my mind has gone blank too much thinking at work lol:T

It was my birthday a few months ago while I was 20 weeks pregnant and my husband bought me vouchers for MAC make up. This meant I could go and have a make over and then spend the vouchers on some of their products. I'm a complete convert now. It obviously depends what you want to spend, but the make over is free if you buy £25 of products after.

Alterntaively if you have a Clairns salon near you they to pre and post natal massages. I also had one of these bought for me, but haven't used it yet so can't comment on what they are like, but I was really chuffed with it, especially as everything else I had was baby related (feeding pajamas - i don't usually wear any, and a maternity tankini), lovely presents but felt it was a bit "all about the baby".

I also bought my friend who was pregnant for her 30th a set of the miniture perfumes you can buy in Boots etc at Christmas or in the airports all year round.

Our local health club do special massage treatments for mums to be i remember having one when i had my first daughter OMG it was soooooo amazing. They use special oils and herbs etc that wont harm the bump.
Maybe if you have a health club close by they would offer the same sort of things. It didnt cost the earth either i think it was only about £15/£20.

  • Another possible idea if you don't happen to live close to any special spas or heath clubs is to have a look online there are several companies that deliver direct to friends and they do hampers for mums to be along with childrens birthdays etc. If you were looking for a cheaper alternative, you could get them all a photo frame, with several areas for photographs and they could all choose which photo they want in it. Or if you happen to have nay of them all you could fill it yourself and leave one blank for new baby! There are numerous ideas, it all depends on what you want to spend really. But I do know what it is like when you think so much about what you can get someone, I often find getting a fresh pair of eyes on the case or recommendations a perfect way to generate fresh new ideas that you may not of considered before.

I got my sister-in-law a lovely new toilet bag with all mini bottles of lovely smellies in..just the ideal size for taking into hospital..and a couple of nice new squishy towels..i got carried away buying for bumpsydoodle - now known as fiona -or scrumdiddlyumptious as i know her :-)..but her mum loved the fact that we had thought of her too!!
another idea....may seem a bit odd but how about cooking her a couple of casseroles for the freezer..so at least when she brings baby home mum, dad and sister can have a nice healthy meal with no effort...actually dad will probably be happier with that gift too...

:) You could combine her 30th with getting something for her before baby comes along .. ie. facial, hair done, manicure ( she defo won't have time for any of these after the birth)

Something for her partner (and her).... cinema tickets, meal out

Something for little girl.... doll with accessories (potty, bottles etc) so she can be like mummy. Good luck.

  • What about a magazine subscription? there are so many useful & nice magazines out there. whats great is that they are helpful & you can pass them on to someone else who needs them when you are finished with them....
  • My mom suggested I look at the below site for some Interior Design ideas - was having a slight dilema, and seeing so many nice magazines I would appreciate a subscription as a gift. http://www.magazine-stand.co.uk/magazines/lifestyle/

Good Luck - I'm sure you'll find the perfect gift (",)

Free baby sitting voucher might be appreciated. SO they can have a night out. Date it for 6 months on though cos by then they will 1) be able to leave baby without to much panic 2.) really appreciate it cos everyone else will have forgotten how much they need a break.
