Quering Credit Rating...

Hi,

I contacted Halifax early march to change the date of my loan repayment from the 20th to 28th, they informed me that it was too late to change the payment for March and that it would change on the 28th April. 20th March came and went and they didnt take any payment, I assumed they person I spoke to was wrong and that it would go out on the 28th however it didnt. I contacted Halifax straight away who advised me that their system was showing my next payment would be april. I asked if they were absolutley sure as it means that I havent paid anything in March. I offered to pay it over the phone on that day but the man i spoke to said I better not incase they recall the payment again and i end up paying twice. Anyway i never received a letter or anything and on the 28th April it went out as planned and since then I have paid the whole loan off (thank you ppi) anyway its showing on my credit rating that i missed a payment in march. can i query this and request its changed? or is it a case of tough luck?! xx

You should be able to get the information removed and you'll probably get some compensation for the error
