Some lovely shoes on there but I darent buy any more as DH will go mad, he doesnt know I've already ordered a couple of pairs on Everything5pound today

The title was self-explanatory as in it gave the label name, that is all. I'd never heard of Iron Fist shoes. I had a look and based on personal opinion, made an innocuous comment. Hey presto, WW3 has broken out.

I like mortadella and cream cheese bagels but won't feel mortally wounded if everyone on here came back and said UGH!

Some very touchy people on here.

I think the point being made here is that you didn't have to comment if you didn't like the shoes. The way you phrased your comment was rather insulting to those who DO like the kind of shoes that Iron Fist produce and actually added nothing to the thread other than to insult people.

You may not have heard of Iron Fist shoes previously which is fair enough but to then pointlessly claim that anyone who likes tham shows no taste was completely uncalled for and did nothing for the thread. The thread was to alert people who DO like the shoes that there are some bargains to be found not to start a debate on if you like the style of them. If you wanted to start a debate on if people think they're pretty or not why not pop over to the Discussion Time or Money Savers Arms thread which is more suitable for opinions and general chit chat of this kind.

I want some of the sequin slippers - they're lovely.

But I'm not keen on the returns. Looks like you have to pay for returns which is a problem for things like shoes cos you need to try them on! Shame. Would have definitely got some otherwise.

My flabber is ghasted. I wasn't looking to start a debate of any kind. I simply made a flippant comment. What part of "it was a flippant comment" are you struggling with? I've seen plenty of similar remarks on here which hasn't caused this furore. There are threads on here which have gone not only round the houses but down the road and back again.

For the hard of thinking I'll say it again "it was a completely random remark, with no intention of harm to anyone". Is that clear enough?

I don't know why some of you are buying shoes as judging a few of the comments, you clearly don't get out much.

I received mine....very small sizes (mine just fit....) however the shoe doesn't seem to go high enough up the foot....so with the heel they don't feel very secure to stand in, let alone walk

Thank you so much for posting this!! just received a pair of ex-display hush puppies boots yesterday found on this site. Price reduced from £130 to £25 incl delivery, very slight scuff on the toe... happy days!
