Co op Bank Account

It oculd be the OR decided that you only need one account and as such closed the second account. They may have worded he letter to the bank to this effect hence why Co op closed it.

I would wait till discharge and reopen.

hi..I had two Cashminder accounts throughout.

On the first contact with the OR's office, I explained why I had two accounts, and had no issues expressed at all!

Hi,

I opened a cashminder account before my IVA started in September last year. Earlier this year i applied for the Barclays Basic bank account and they insisted on giving me a savings account as well. Despite me clearly stating that i was in an IVA.

The advisor said that she would montior the savings account and if i decided not to use it, they would close it after 6 months of no activity.

I opened one today, called in my local branch to do it. The lad who dealt with it was very helpful but turned a 10 minute job into a 50 minute one :laugh: Got a free cup of coffee though, so all wasn't lost
