Ill-health retirement info please

Options
If you are retired on ill-health grounds and you have more than one pension due to previous employment/redundancy schemes etc., will these automatically come into force as well as the current pension you are under if they (the current one) pay out?

No - in general each pension is separate and will have its own Ts&Cs. The pension managers will need to be contacted individually if you want to arrange payments to start. If your pension pots are of a reasonable size it would be sensible for you to go to an IFA who can more easily get the best deal than you could as a private customer.
