This is the thing. Howcome the Aussies can do it all and not be classed as racists and xenophobes?

If someone could genuinely answer that....that would be a start!
They have a perfectly sensible immigration policy where you have to offer something to Australia to get in and nobody sensible suggests otherwise or gets labelled a racist. Same with Canada, NZ and the US.

Us letting unskilled Romania and Bulgaria immigrants in is akin to the US letting Mexicans in uncontrolled.

Are we talking about some alternate version of the US which isn't reliant on cheap labour from Mexico to perform menial work?

Why do they have an enforced border with them?us-mexborder.jpg?w=203

The problem with borders, as Hadrian and the marcher lords knew, isn't so much the immigration as the raiding and looting. These things are generally designed not so much to stop people coming in as to stop them getting straight back out again.

You see Mexicans sneaking in, they're probably just harmless immigrants. You see Mexicans sneaking out, you know they're up to no good.

There are apparently more than 5 million illegal Mexican immigrants in the US. They don't seem to be enforcing it very well.

Careful now. You'll be hounded to announce your shame at being a vile racist if a couple around here read that!

There are already unskilled Romanian and Bulgarian immigrants in the UK and have been for over a decade.

Who do you think picks our crops?

I've met over the years people of both groups who work as cleaners or in care homes.

What people are afraid of and are too scared to say is Roma. The Roma are treated so badly in Romania, France ships them out and we like the Nordic countries are a soft touch so more are going to end up here.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p
