Set aside 5 year old partial amount CCJ

Options
Bryan Carter was collecting an old NatWest credit card debt from me for £588 back in 2008. When I didn't pay, he then got a CCJ on me for £274 which was not the full debt.

Forward 5 years and I've not heard anything from Bryan Carter since and the old NatWest debt has dropped off my credit record as it was last paid in 2006.

Is this CCJ valid as it was not taken out for the full amount of what the debt was?

If that is the case, can I successfully apply for it to be set aside?

Any more help on this would be much appreciated as I'm trying to tidy up my credit files.

    No idea.

After 6 years, they have to go back to court to get the CCJ renewed and this is rarely granted from what I read on here.

    Might be your best option?

It should drop off my credit record in exactly 1 years time.

Yes. Not sure if it would reappear if it got renewed, but I don't think so.

They can still enforce collection if renewed.
