It normally takes Nominet 7 days or so to remove the opt-out after it is reported.

Either they're now removing it immediately (which is unlikely) or someone else had reported it before.

I've changed the opt-out details for one of my domain names. It was virtually instant.

Credit Plus being a broker, do you know how many searches they actually conducted, as usually they wouldn't be doing searches themselves but forwarding it on to lenders so you may have incurred multiple searches depending on how many lenders they sent the application to.

In working with lenders, I have noticed that the number of searches are becoming less important than they were a couple years ago, it is common practice for customers to shop around for the lowest possible rate so I think lenders have taken this into consideration. (Experian seem to reduce their "meaningless" score immediately) but 2 - 3 searches don't appear to be impacting on acceptances as much as they would have done previously.
