Hi lovely ladies (and any men reading this too!)
I've been wedding dress shopping today with my mum. I had hoped that the whole thing about finding 'the one' would be true... However, I now have 3 dresses which I love, but are all so different I'm struggling to choose... If anyone has tips/insight/comments on the dresses or how i can choose the right one I would appreciate it. The 3 are:
Pronovias - Benicarlo. I love the feathers, it really is a princess dress, although I do wonder if the skirt may be a bit too much - on the other hand it's the one day I could get away with wearing something that big!
Pronovias - Leonie. More traditional but with enough sparkle, and a gorgeous skirt.
Novia d'art - Luz. Very simple and elegant - the more sophisticated of the 3 I think. Love the bodice and it emphasises my waist (in a good way!). Although at £2k it's very expensive for simple - I did wonder if its something I could get made somewhere cheaper - does anyone know if this may be possible?
Any ideas gratefully received... Am about to go to bed to sleep on it but don't know where to start! Oh - info re wedding in case it's relevant. Will be a civil ceremony, not sure where but looking at country house type venues - looking for stunning gardens for photos. Will be next summer. I think my fianc! is thinking of tails so quite formal. I'm roughly a size 10/12, more pear shape, 5 foot 4 and will wear heels, around 3 inches maybe.
Thanks!

Hi Flirtini
It's a great feeling when you're dress shopping and you manage to find something that you love, you seem to have found three but I don't think even I would manage to wear three over the course of my wedding celebrations!!!
I've had a look and my absolute favourite out of them is the Pronovias Benicarlo, with the Novia D'art after that (without the capey thing).
To go with your height/shape I'd think that the fuller dresses may suit better but it is all down to your own preference and how it looks once on.
Why don't you go back for a second look and take a friend or two with you (bridesmaids?) for further opinions, make sure it's friends that you know will tel you the truth!!! What was mums reaction like when she saw them? Sometimes that can be more valuable than you ever think possible.
Good luck and let us know what you decide on!No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
i think the first one is absolutely stunning, the others are gorgeous but IMO not as wow as the first0

I like the first one best - it's stunning. I really like the second one too. I am much less keen on the last one.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

I like the second but then I'm very traditional.
Good luck hope MSE helps you.0 -

I love the first one too! It's the one day that you can go OTT and wear something you'll never get the opportunity to wear again! Good luck!:)0

I prefer Pronovias - Benicarlo. It's the only one I would wear out of those three."More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them." - Harold J. Smith:cool:0

I think the first or second one would be the choice for your shape etc. but its difficult to tell. Try and take someone you trust with you hope you have a good sleep it will come to you possibly try them on again and see how you feel. Think about what you will be doing i.e. dancing and see which one you would be able to dance best in etc. hth0

I think it's the one day of your life when you can wear something like the Pronovias Benicarlo and it is lovely.
Having said that I LOVE teh Novia d'Art one0 -
